Tour Plan

Town of Óbidos (Option 1)

Town of Óbidos
Town of Óbidos

The town of Óbidos is one of Portugal’s most enchanting medieval treasures. Surrounded by ancient stone walls, it offers visitors a journey back in time. Its narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and vibrant flowers create a postcard-perfect atmosphere that captures the charm of old-world Portugal.

At the heart of this historic place stands the impressive castle, now a boutique hotel, overlooking the landscape and preserving centuries of history. As you explore, you’ll discover traditional shops, cozy cafés, and local bookstores tucked into every corner. Don’t miss the chance to taste ginjinha, a sweet cherry liqueur typically served in a small chocolate cup — a beloved local tradition.

The town of Óbidos is also known for its vibrant cultural events, such as the annual medieval fair and the international literary festival, which bring even more life to its streets. Whether you’re drawn by history, architecture, or local flavor, this magical destination is a must-visit in central Portugal.

Town of Nazaré (Option 1)

This charming village on Portugal’s Silver Coast is a true coastal gem. Known for its deep fishing roots and welcoming atmosphere, the town of Nazaré has become a favorite spot for travelers seeking both tradition and adventure. Its most famous attraction is Praia do Norte, where massive waves — some of the largest in the world — draw top surfers every year. These incredible swells are created by the unique underwater canyon just offshore.

Beyond the surf, visitors can wander through narrow streets filled with local shops, colorful houses, and seafood restaurants serving freshly caught fish. A short funicular ride leads to the clifftop district of Sítio, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic and a glimpse into local religious traditions at the Sanctuary of Our Lady.

With its blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and thrilling experiences, the town of Nazaré is a must-see for anyone exploring Portugal.

Sanctuary of Fátima (Option 2)

The Sanctuary of Fátima, located in central Portugal, is one of the most significant religious pilgrimage sites in the world. It is renowned for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917. Over the years, it has become a major center for Catholic pilgrimage, attracting millions of visitors annually, both religious and secular.

In recent years, Fátima has increasingly focused on tourism, with investments in infrastructure, accommodations, and services to cater to the growing number of visitors. The site offers not only spiritual experiences but also cultural and historical tours, with a rich variety of museums, religious shops, and restaurants around the sanctuary. The blend of religious significance and tourism has helped boost the local economy while maintaining the site's sacred character.

    Amazing customized tour!
Francisco is an amazing tour guide. We did 3 tours with him. He is very knowledgeable with Portugal’s history. He is very personable and customized our trip to start in Lisbon and end in Porto. He was on time, drove safely and made it so easy for us to get the most of both Nazaré & Óbidos. Both places are incredible! A must see if visiting Portugal.
